Potential and Benefit of Green Roof Energy Renovation of Existing Residential Buildings with a Flat Roof in Belgrade

Green roofs are considered to be one of the optimal tools for saving energy and protecting environment in developed countries. In this paper, an analysis possible application green on existing residential buildings with flat is presented. economic analysis, models Belgrade, two different types roofs, studied. A key indicator investment profitability investigation net present value (NPV) roof project. Besides private impact, other aspects applications, significant sustainable development, have been highlighted. The values reductions annual needed heating cooling compared scenarios. maximum 22% season determined building simulation program model intensive roof. Life cycle profit was based probabilistic approach. corresponding variance-based sensitivity impact various parameters final result. all models, first order index, which measures number units NPV, ranges from 12.2% 63.6%.
